Second Half Effort Falls Short as Xavier Falls, 88-75, at No. 5 Villanova

The Xavier men's basketball team fell, 88-75, at No. 5 Villanova (16-1; 4-1 BIG EAST) on Wednesday to move to 11-6 on the season and 2-3 in BIG EAST play. After falling behind early, the Musketeers outscored the Wildcats, 48-43, in the second half but Villanova's hot outside shooting proved too much for Xavier to overcome.
