UC fans are annoying at times, but are generally pretty decent people. UD fans are obnoxious to an extent I can't even put into words. The dumpers win this one in a landslide.

VD. Their fans are just vile. I think they derive more pleasure out of a Xavier loss than they do their own team winning. I truly think that 2 guys behind me last year at the NC State game actually had orgasms watching us lose - which probably was a good thing because it spared their watermelons at least one night of indignity.

Exactly. It's the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

I'm not choosing....I'm ranking:

1. UD
2. OSU
3. UC
4. Iowa (had a bad experience in Iowa City....multiple aholes yelling, "who the f*%k is Xavier?" when wearing an X hoodie.

Best fans:

1. XU
2. Texas. They may be the evil empire in terms of greed. But their football fans were the nicest and most intelligent fans I've experienced.
3. Wisconsin. They may not have been the friendliest....but Madison is one fun city. Go see a game in Austin...then Madison.

Those suffering from the red scare up north make UC fans look like the height of enlightenment. Even people I know who went to ud turn (even more) stupid than normal when talking basketball.

Is this based on attending an event at the opposing fan's arena or stadium? Generally I am not a big fan of attending events at the opposing teams venue. Although I have been to Purdue, no problem, UD no problem ND no problem Evansville and Butler no problem. Meanwhile my son who went to both X and Butler took a load of shit from X fans last year at Hinkle. I think the way you are treated at an opposing venue is often in proportion to your degree of dickishness. Act civil be treated civil. But there are tools in every fan base.Xavier included.

It's based on attending A 10 tournament two years in a row. But I agree with your sentiment. Generally I don't say anything when traveling.

The UD fans here in Cincy for the A10 tournament were unbelievable. Literally not to be believed. I've never seen so many rednecks in one place north of the Mason-Dixon line. They were vulgar, ignorant, moronic and cheered more for the teams X was playing against than for their own team. And going to ud arena is something you have to experience, in my opinion, in order to believe how their fans behave. They were so awful, they made one of their former players cry because she's married to our head coach. They have no redeeming qualities.

This is all you really need to know. (Let alone that she is one of their best female players ever, and whose HOF induction had to be postponed a year because of their own fans.)
