First heard this on the radio. Hope he gets better and returns next year to UC. Serious medical issue and he needs to address it as his docs recommend. Get well, Mick!

Never like to see this. No matter who it is.

Agree. Get well, Coach Cronin. Even rivalries have their limits.

Tough news for Mick. On the positive side, it looks like the longer-term prognosis is pretty good after he allows for it to heal. Hope this turns out OK for him.

It's smart that he's handling this now and not risking anyting.

I'm wondering if he's on medical leave from coaching if he can get around the rules and recruit like mad. Probably not, but he's going to have time on his hands, so he might like to watch some high school hoops in a few different locals where there happens to be a medical doctor to visit.

I truly hope his doctors can find a way to help him. My heart goes out to him and his family - especially his daughter. She has to be so worried about losing her dad. I know I would be.

Agreed, much too young for these worries for all of them. Best wishes!

He has to stay healthy for his adorable little girl. She comes in around the minute mark.

I think he's sick enough that it's not a option. Say what you want about Cronin but he loves coaching UC. He wouldn't be stepping away unless he had real concerns about his health.

I learned after I wrote that that he does plan to recruit and is going to watch a high school game tonight. He says he feels fine now, it's just a matter of maintaining that health and allowing the vascular tear to heal.

You would think he would almost have to not even watch games on TV to keep his BP down. It would have to be hard to watch on TV and be frustrated that he cant have any impact of his team. Hell if I needed to keep my BP down I couldnt watch any of my sports teams.

Ok, now that he is healthy again and been cleared to resume full coaching activity, we are free to unload on our favorite Jaundiced Leprechaun.

He's still a self-serving charlatan who doesn't know an offensive set from a ham sandwich. He and Sucks deserve each other.

MOR: he does so know the difference: a ham sandwich--even 2 weeks old-- looks better than his offense

He found the sandwich sitting on the bus, and it's free.

So...it looks better, yet is more offensive than their offense? MOR with the Cronin Paradox
