The hugeness (probably not a real word) of this game cannot be overstated. We CAN NOT lose to DePaul. CAN NOT.

Yeah lose this game and NYE is diminished greatly. I don't even think they offset each other. Depaul is likely to be a +200 RPI team unless they win some Big East games they have no business winning. There is some talent with the Stanford win but the losses are terrible. But, this game is on the road and this team has proved time and time again they lay eggs away from Cintas.

Last year at Allstate/Rosemont X got off to a reasonable start in the 1st half, slowed down, sped up and had a good lead at half.

Then we came out turned the ball over a bunch, let DeP back in, then got focused and won the game.

It was somewhere between OK and Not Satisfying as an outcome.

As has been pointed out elsewhere, the energy and focus of NYE needs to be sustained and brought to bear.

No better time and place than against DeP whose recent record above (reps to MADXSTER) makes clear.

GG is right to be skeptical, but I'm more guardedly optimistic.
