Looks like they caught it in time. Get well soon. Those are usually a death sentence if they aren't caught. I'm by no means a fan of the YTG but I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Wow, just tuned into the game and saw he wasnt coaching and figured there would be something on here about it. Very lucky they found it before it ruptured. Hope he has a full recovery.

I'm very happy they caught this when they did and certainly hope he has a full recovery. I know that there are people here that have no good feelings toward him, or his family, but this is much more important than any basketball rivalry.

I got a free ticket to the game from some friends and chatted with some bearcat fan's next to me, they seemed to think it's pretty serious. One guy said he expects Mick to miss more than a few games; of course I don't know how reliable his information was. Not going to lie, I can't stand the Cronin, but I do wish him a speedy recovery.

Well it's non ruptured, but it's nothing to mess with. If the drugs don't correct it, and it's in a location that would be dangerous to operate, it could be the end of his career as a head coach. He'd have to switch to something less physical and stressful.

A friend of mine had one burst in her brain and she became a bit of a vegetable for a few years. She fought back to re-learn how to speak and walk...basically everything. Her left side is mostly paralyzed and she switches between a wheelchair and a cane. It ended her career and set her life back several years.

I know Mick is unpopular here, but I like him. He says a lot of dumb things in the media, but when it comes to his team his heart is in the right place. He runs a good program and even if his teams are not winning, I believe he's working hard to help them grow.

I hope they are able to turn this around quickly, but suspect this just might be the beginning of his concerns.

Putting aside my Xavier colored glasses, I'm not sure I can say anything truly bad about the man. He doesn't deserve this. I wish him the best possible outcome. My heart goes out to his family and his players.

Oh you can say plenty bad about him. Does he deserve this? That's a different story.

@swolfhoops: Unconfirmed but Heard last night,Mick Cronin is done coaching for the season because of the aneurism. That is tough thing for UC and Mick

Honestly, I can't think of much scarier than having a ticking time bomb in my brain ready to kill me at any second. Good for Mick for taking the necessary time to get it taken care of, if he does need an extended absence.

It has always been fun to poke fun at YTG and UC, but I sincerely hope that this can be taken care of and that he can get back to coaching again. My thoughts and prayers to the coach and his family.

Brings to mind the amazing battle fought, and won, by Amber Gray, who played for Princeton High, then Tennessee then the Musketeers.
