So the man who employed Bob Huggins is going to reform the NCAA. Turns out the NCAA has a sense of humor after all.

All indications are that Oliver Luck (yes it is Andrew's father) is a fine individual. I don't know what possessed him to hire Huggins, but I agree that is puzzling. However, Huggins is known as a very good coach within the profession. It appears that the move was precipitated by Oliver and his wife wanting to be able to live in Indy where there son will undoubtedly be a fixture with the Colts for the next 10+ years.

Oliver Luck- Clevelander and former St. Ignatius Quarterback...and, yeah. He is a good guy.

Being from West Virginia and following WVU athletics closely, Oliver Luck was huge for WVU the last few years, got the move to the Big 12, brand new baseball stadium making baseball relevant, generating $12mil in profit from the move to the Big 12, and a bunch of other key moves. Does he make mistakes? Yes, is Huggins one of them? No. Remember Bob Huggins took WVU to the Final 4 in 2008, and WVU isn't bad this year in basketball either. With this move I think it's huge for him and his family, he becomes the NCAA's #2 man, and will take over when Mark Emmert retires. Hopefully he does well with the job, and as said before can be close to Andrew in Indianpolis. Kind of feel for his younger son Addison though, poor kid just won a soccer state championship with Morgantown High School, is a sophomore, and now has to move and find new friends lol. I think it's a good hire from the NCAA standpoint.

Final Four in 2010. Xavier sent Huggy Bear home in 2008.

As a Marshall grad it pains me to say anything good about that school up the road, but Luck was a great AD for them. I think he is a solid hire for the NCAA.

I'm sure what you have all said about Luck is true, but he still hired the most despicable person in college basketball. I don't know why anyone who really has the best interest in the "student-athlete" would hire such a man.

Until recently there were a couple of guys at Dayton who could give him a run for his money.

It's a win for Oliver Luck a well. He can live in Indianapolis and be close to his son.
