Once again, not a thing about the Musketeers in the online edition of the enquirer, what a complete pile of @%*#!!!
Here's the article from the online edition of USA Today

You beat me to the punch - the Enquirer blows. At least the men have a good guy like Dow covering them. The Ladies repeat as tourney champs and nothing.

While I can understand MND's 3rd straight state title and Burrell's comments being front-page news, we sure as hell didn't need to see a fluff column by Daugherty about UC needing a hug after their late-season collapse or a meaningless spring training game.
Some things, quite frankly, will never change. I doubt we'll see the ladies on the front of the sports page around Easter weekend, either.

Philly paper article. Interesting quote from Staley "the best team and the hardest working team didn't win this game."
Btw, the A-10 site has a decent article, along with a nice championship pic.

TP was named outstanding player of the tourney and joined on the all tourney team by AH. Jerri got snubbed after she really stepped up for them. Morris, Confort from Temple and Oakland from UD rounded out the all tourney's. I think i could make a good argument for Jerri over Comfort. Scoring wise, Jerri went 11, 10 and 14 with big game icing FT's in the semi's and final. Comfort went 10, 10 and 5. Turnover wise, Jerri went 0, 0 and 1. Comfort went 2, 4 and 4. Plus, as Stan ranted about yesterday, XU won the !@#$%^ championship!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very true sponge,
Jerri really stepped it up in the tourney, just a junior but played like each was her last. She truly showed that she should be considered one of the top guards in the A-10.

I also noticed that for the first time in a while, she wasn't playing with that knee brace on. Could be related to her uptick in play. She seemed alot more like the Jerri we saw in the early season, pre injury.

My home edition had a story about the women's team...Wasn't as big as the combined Xavier stories or the UC sty,but it was there. Can't imagine why the online edition didn't have a story. Really, I thought I saw one about 2 a.m. today.

I'm still curious.
Q,, was there a byline on that article??
Wondering if the local rag decided last minute to send someone.

no - they pulled off the AP wire and didn't even run the whole story. The AP story online included how the Temple students were mocking Amber and she said she loves when fans do that; that it helps her play better.

Who reads newspapers?

Stone, once they put the entire funny page, crossword, jumble and cryptoquip online they will have made themselves 100% obsolete (as opposed to 99% obsolete as they are now)
It certainly does help to have the newspaper up here in Maine, you need something to get the woodstove started.

LOL
The Enema-quirer has been a joke this year in regards to the women's coverage. I've seen next to nothing at all this year. With the Post now out of business, there's been next to no coverage locally. There's even been a decrease in the number of TV stations coming to home games for clips of the games IMO.
I also want to say this- I am disappointed in the lack of coverage on Xavier's Athletics Site (goxavier.com) as well. If the local media isn't doing the job covering the team, the maybe the athletic department should do more on it's site. The only thing I saw was a short game story and a box score. Our women's team deserves a little better than that.

WCPO had a nice piece on the 11pm sports last nite. I didn't see anything on any of the other local channels.
