Rough game, but good to be able to watch!!!! The Fox Go Sports app is very nice to have!
Virgina took XU completely out of their game, able to keep the ball away from the lane, forced X to jack an awful lot of permiter shots which were just not falling, 8-25 from 3 point range, 22-62 overall.
Battling with VA's size was rough, looked like the cavaliers were able to swipe, or fend off nearly every advance to inside shots. The roster really doesn't show a distinct height advantage for VA, but it really showed on the court.
However, impressive that the battle kept up, late in the 2nd, facing deficits of 15ish, X was able to muster the shooting to cut way into the lead, but fell short.
VA is a good team, power conference stuff, was good to see our ladies get on the court against the kind of competition they will see in every game once the conference schedule starts.
