Just your immediate, gut reaction; this is supposed to be fun and not something that involves a lot of analysis.
Which team would win a head-to-head basketball game: this year's edition of Xavier basketball versus the Xavier basketball team during your senior year? What would the score be?

Man, the 1998 team underachieved so badly. Lumpkin, Brown, Braggs, Johnson, pre-injury Williams, & Posey.

'94 had Brian Grant, Tyrice Walker, Larry Sykes, among others. (AND MARK SMYDRA)
Although I think Grant is one of the best ever to play at X, the rest of that team didn't have the horses that this year does. But man, would I love to be able to see Skip coach a game again.

I got Rackley on Stain.
I'll get back to you when I calculate the 3 pt shot impact.

No way that 72 team would lose to this team 100-50. We were dreadfully bad...got smoked by Thomas More.

Are you dissing X Club Football saying that they wouldn't score at all?
I can see Jerry Buckmaster putting 33 on the board though. Actually 34. No way Otto Gramke misses an extra point.

But in comparison from Freshman year (2011-2012),
2011-2012: 85

So 2015 isn't availabe but 08 would have dominated last years team on a neutral court

Ha! Mel, you missed one "in" - as in "Hey, Tay! Put in INSain!
Otherwise, not that anyone could win this thread, but, if that is possible, perhaps GIMMFD just did.

Skip's teams couldn't typically handle decent to good major conference foes. So I'll go with:
'15 - 90
'98 - 83

About right, but I fear 62 would be a max.
Gary Massa vs. Jalen Reynolds?
The mind reels.
(Love ya, Gary, btw.)

1997s frontcourt would have been dominated by this year's front court. The only thing that keeps it close is the lack of experience for 2015.

They would vote in a Mercy Rule at halftime.

Jason Love shuts down Stainbrook, Crawford goes for 30... I am convinced that if that team had survived against K-State, they would have found a way to beat Butler and go to the Final 4...
I got Rackley on Stain.
I'll get back to you when I calculate the 3 pt shot impact.

No one can stop The Cobra, but the 67-68 guards can't stop Dee, can't defend the 3pfg (since they don't even know what it is), and Pangrazio tackles The Blob and bludgeons it with a court side crutch. Close at the half, run off the floor as fatigue and no bench takes its toll.

It would be one heck of an offensive battle, but the Muskies my senior year had Brown/Lumpkin/Williams/Posey, who would just run this year's team down after a while.

One of my all time favorite teams. Of course I was 14 and running around the Gardens the entire game.
