As stated in the obituary, was member of the 1958 NIT team.

Was the fourth member of the NIT Championship team we've lost. The others were, Captain Frank Tartaron, Stu Crouchaine, and Ducky Castelle..
All recruited by Ned Wulk (Tartaron was a transfer from ND) and they, along with Connie Freeman, Jimmy Boothe, and Hand Schmidt Joe Viviano, Hank Stein, and later Billy Kirvin, Jack Thobe, Frank Pinchback, Steve Thomas, Bob Pelkington formed the nucleus of Xavier basketball hat moved onto the national stage. Soon national powers like the Bonnie, Providence, Villanova, Kentucky, Illinois, Memphis, Seattle, atc etc became regulars on the schedule.
Aned I believe that Coach Mack and this group of newcomers, will take us to even greater heights.
