I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more attention. Christie is allowing outlets to start taking bets on sporting events. We'll see what kind of opposition he gets from the Feds, or if he can pull it off, but for now it's full steam ahead.

It's clear he's trying to do anything he can to save Atlantic City. But if he is successful, I wonder what other states will follow suit and how soon it will be until I can watch March Madness at the Horseshoe instead of having to travel to Vegas (although I would miss the benefit of meeting up with the esteemed MOR).

I saw that this morning. I guess if the feds aren't enforcing anti-pot laws in Colorado, they may not go after AC either, although if it were my call, I'd wait 5 years and just go in an seize all the winnings. Recreational pot is a little different than a regulated gambling industry.

How much ownership crossover is there between Vegas and AC these days? It seems like a lot. If Vegas doesn't actively oppose it, I don't know who will.

You'll be able to make bets at Monmouth Racetrack.

Monmouth projects $75 million in revenue which they'll plow back into purses and support for the track.

Great news for NJ racing.

I wonder what NY will do . . .
