Pablo's brother- Matt McCormick

This is Matt's and Pablo's dad. Both of our sons being among the most ardent XU fans anywhere. We lost Matt last Thursday. Thanks to all that have posted so wonderfully on the board. Matt would have been so proud as now are his wife, kids and parents.
Matt will have his funereal mass this Friday at Bellarmine Chapel on campus, to be celebrated by Fr. Mike Graham.
This is what we had for his brother and we can not consider anything different for Matt. He lived for Xavier and gave countless hours of thought, energy as well as contributions to the University. He was so grateful for all he received here and is blessed with so many dear friends.
We will not see his like for some time to come.

McCormick Family,

Matt had a big influence in the lives of many of us in Xavier Nation. Many of us met Matt through this board, the bus trip to Duquesne 5 years ago, or some other Xavier connection. He was a genuine person, a huge advocate for the Brian McCormick fund, and for the hatred of all things dayton.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time, and we will all miss Matt very much. I felt privileged to get to know Matt briefly, and I will never forget the laughs we shared. I will toast your family, and continue to live life to the fullest as Matt would want.
