Most likely a jersey sales move, but congrats to the kid.

Probably a training camp contract with no guaranteed money, but I haven't seen any details.
I actually watched him a little bit during summer league and he looked absolutely terrible.

Before I clicked the link I assumed it was going to be the Sixers who signed him given that they intend to tank once again this year.

Yes, training camp contract. Likely headed to Reno (D League). http://www.sactownroyalty.com/2014/8/14/6004249/kings-sign-sim-bhullar

The Kings signed @SimBhullar2. One assumes it's a training camp deal.
That's all I've seen on it.

What better way to tank than to start Sim at point guard?

Those D-League numbers are pretty impressive.
Glad to see there's another Stockton in the NBA, too.

10.8 point, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.9 blocks per game is pretty impressive for the D-league.

There's a pace component there. The Reno Big Horns (Sim's D-League Team) is experimenting with the Grinnell-style "Give up 2 points to get 2.5" offense. So there's a lot of shots to block and rebound.

Interesting. He still would have to run back and forth, though, which is really his biggest achievement.

The problem is that there is a shot clock. By the time he gets ton the other end of the court, time has expired and it's time to go to the other end.

Between this and when Vezenkov gets drafted in the second round this year it'll be pretty clear that Mack has an eye for Talent outside of 5 star players.

Imagine having Sim behind Jalen in that 1-3-1.

How much slower would we need to play to pull that off?

I had forgotten all about him. Didn't realize he was draft material. Nice eye indeed. Go find 'em Coach!

Add DSR and Dez to that mix and I know there are others. Mack can recruit...some hits and some misses...but he knows who to recruit which is step one.
