Big East Announces Conf Tournament Sites: Baseball in Omaha

The schedule is bookended with two sites hosting a BIG EAST championship for the first time. The 2014 BIG EAST Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships will make their inaugural trip to Indianapolis Oct. 31, while the 2015 BIG EAST Baseball Championship heads to TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb., May 21-24. In all, there are four 2014-15 championships that will take place at new sites, as the semifinals and final of the 2014 BIG EAST Women's Soccer Championship will hail from St. John's Belson Stadium in Jamaica, N.Y., on Friday and Sunday, Nov. 7 and 9, and the 2015 BIG EAST Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships will play out at the Ithaca College Athletics and Events Center Pool in Ithaca, N.Y., Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 18-21.

Amen. If we can't play in that stadium for a National Championship, at least we can play there for a Big East title.

This location should entice fans of all schools to make the pilgrimage to Omaha, Omaha, Omaha (sorry I can't say the city's name just once, too many Peyton Manning games I guess).

I went out there for the CWS two years ago. I will definitely consider making the trip for this as well (it's about a 5 hour drive for me).
