Looking for some feedback on nice courses to play in the Panama City FL area. I'm heading there for the first time in a couple of weeks and am not familiar with the area. I do have a Trent Jones course about 80 miles away, but looking to be a bit closer. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's been a few years, but two courses I've played and really like were the Hombre Golf Club and Lagoon Legend.

I didn't know people went to PCB for any other reason than to get trashed on the beach during spring break

Stayed in Pensacola in March for golf. Kelly's Landing on the east side of Destin is a mature well run course , holes along the water, good value.

Enjoyed the RTJ Crossings course west of Mobile. Did not enjoy Magnolia Grove, an RTJ "associated" course I got sold as a package. I'm a 19 handicap playing senior tees at 68, so take this review for what it's worth, but while Magnolia is historic, etc, it's a private club, and visitors are clearly second class citizens. A couple of long (165-170) forced carry tee shots from the senior tees seemed punitive. If you're young and hit em long and straight, not an issue.

Hombre Golf Club is where they hold the PGA qualifing schools tournament or at least they used too.

I think they also had a stop on whatever the web.com tour was called back in the 90s (Nike?). A friend of mine lives on the 4th fairway.
