This isn't Sinclair's first attempt at a sports network. They previously tried to get the American Channel off the ground....and failed.
this is a different approach because the games will basically be syndicated, and shown in the local markets on free to air local networks. The conferences involved are CUSA, The Patriot, The SoCon, Colonial and Big South.
I'm hoping that they make the out of area games available to satellite providers to show on the premium sports tier channels. I'm thinking they will since one of the main goals all these leagues have is to get their games more widely distributed. So, the good news is, there will be more college hoops on TV this year.
The Patriot League did make all their games available for free on the PL Network, and Conference USA had a package as well through ULive, although you needed a subscription. I'm not sure if that will continue or not.
