On Friday, McCants appeared as a guest on the SiriusXM’s College Sports Nation, hosted by Mark Packer and Houston Nutt, standing by his allegations. One of the accusations was that Roy Williams discussed swapping out a failed course – McCants failed two in the Fall 2004 semester — a summer session course during an academic meeting. In an interview with Packer and Nutt, McCants opened up about his experience with Williams.
“It looks like the relationship is severed, but there was never really a relationship between me and Roy,” McCants said. “I was the player and he was the coach. That doesn’t mean that every player on every team is friends with their coach.”

McCants is an idiot. It won't truly get ugly until someone other than McCants comes forward.

Of course, the fact that McCants stayed eligible despite being an idiot is probably a pretty bad fact for UNC.

That investigation was closed. Because this new one came up, now the NCAA must go out and look at UNC again.

Apparently the football players are smarter than McCants. But then, so is everybody else. I wonder what's motivating this. At least he'll be rich when he gets his $300 million check...

I agree he's a whack job, but how can the NCAA NOT look into it? I'm a bit of a UNC fan (my kids did camp there for years - and it's consistent with my hatred for Duke), so I'm not eager to see how the sausage is made. Oh, well....
