I'll probably get pummeled for this, but how bad is the Big East going to be next year if we're picked to finish second?

We have A LOT of HUGE question marks.

I'm in agreement with many in thinking we'll probably be about the same and a bit better than last year. We'll always wonder "what if" in regards to Maj though.

I think we have enough talent this year that even if HALF of the question parks pan out, we'll be in a great spot.

Chris Mack is back (for a while)

Really? Give it a rest, please.

Fair question. A team with as many new faces as ours should be a dark horse candidate, not the main contender.

Like how they did not lump us in with Crieghton and Butler...

Any reason why Remy Abell wasn't listed as an incoming transfer (even if he was already practicing this year)?

Creighton is a one trick pony, and Butler is a joke. That probably has something to do with it.

I suspect there is a little over-correction from last year when most polls had us finishing a spot or 2 below where we all though we should given the question marks. I think they are bumping us up a spot from where we might be ranked if we hadn't surprised them last year.

Would love to beat expectations again this year though.

I think the thing is that aside from Nova, every other team in the league has question marks too. Some teams have plenty more than us and a lot of programs are going to have many new faces too. I don't think it's unreasonable to pick X second based on what you see on paper, and part of that is unfortunately that the league does not have more than one team that we know should be really good.

I think he's considered a transfer from 2013? Doesn't make sense to me either.......it should be about who's going to play THIS year

If Remy and the frosh step up big, we got a "contenda" . We got size and experience with Stain and Reynolds, a good floor general in Dee, but the frosh can't take too many "baby steps." Need to come in and play big minutes. I think Bluiett starts early on. Can't wait to see JP off the bench. Expect a "Redford" reaction from the fans. Should be interesting with a bunch of (hopefully good) shooters.
