Flats, remember when Hugs and Gillen would visit the chicken the week of the shootout? I have a lot of fond memories of that place from my youth.

I hear that place is for sale. Might have to stop by for a Big Joe myself!

Nuts,
you bet I remember those days. Pete had his picture taken w/ me there and later autographed it. It used to be hanging on the wall at the Chicken but I think it has been taken down.

Did they shake hands?

I helped the Chicken acquire a Maurice Brantley game jersey to hang on their wall, don't know if it is still hanging there or not. Bet its been over 10 years since I have stepped foot in that place.

If I remember correctly, they appeared at the Chicken on different days. This was around the time of the Handshake Game, and the time I was a manager for the team.

Maybe you should get an old Andre Smith jersey to hang next to it, since they share much in common.

I think Brantley would have been better paired with D. Rose or Dedrick Finn. Mo liked to party, not kill people.

I think Lloyd Price and Andre Smith would be a great pair of jerseys to hang. Both used weapons, even though Price's was only a starter pistol....

Flats - good to hear from you again. Hope you are doing well in Nebraska & resting up this summer.
Should be a fun evening at the Chicken. However, I don't plan on bumbling & stumbling out that night like we did numerous times.
I guess I'm getting old. Remember the night Pete Gillen called Nash "Otis" and told him to get in the picture. Priceless!

Bumbling & stumbling, I have no recollection of any that maybe that was the problem. ( sarcasm) Those were the good old days. Yes,I do recall Pete calling Smash " Otis". You hit the nail on the head w/ " priceless"

At this age, we never plan on such things. But sometimes, history can repeat itself....
