Wake Forest and Xavier will meet two years in a row beginning in the 2015-16 season followed by a two-year break. That agreement will repeat itself indefinitely in four-year cycles. Although six years remain on the current 10-year agreement between the two schools, both programs agreed that this series will continue indefinitely under this new scheduling format.

I'm okay with that. Wake has been a complete mess and will undoubtably suck next year. I guess this is why we're looking for a high major road game next year.

I can go talk to Gregg Marshall if Mario wants me to.

I would like you too, which means I'm sure Mario would as well.

In all seriousness, Wichita State would be a fantastic series to schedule. It's a very good team that's always in the rankings that we could get on equal terms because they're not looking to simply load up on buy games.

Makes sense based on Wake's team this year. And flexibility in the future. Personally sucks for me as I was looking forward to a driveable roadie.

I don't know why they don't scrap this event as it stands now. Re-brand the event along the lines of an ACC/Big East event. In place of X playing Wake to honor Skip it should be remade into an event that has X play a team from The ACC and Wake play a team from The Big East. Both games to be played at the same facility, alternate arenas, at X or Downtown cincy one year and at Wake or a neutral court there the following year. This makes more sense than the two schools playing one another. A much better way to honor his memory as well. The winning team could get a trophy and a donation to that schools library in Skips name.

Agree. Maybe we can start a H/H with Duke, or UNC, or Upstate, or Wofford...just somebody south of the Mason Dixon line.
