As borrowed from the Providence board:

Not that we didn't know it already, but X is positioning itself very well within the Big East.

Very useful reference. He was inconsistent in mentioning transfers (didn't mentioned Abell), but I haven't seen anyone that ever remembers all the transfers. Larry Austin isn't included, but he probably already had this mostly worked out before that commitment was made.

Everyone knows that rankings/stars are a crap shoot. We had one class a while ago that proved that out.

But last year we had one recruit in the top 145 listing on Verbal Commits which averages the 3 major ranking lists.

This year we have all 6 recruits in the top 145. That's quite an accomplishment for Coach Mack and his staff. Can't wait for the season to start.

And we come in tied for third? I won't claim to have studied the other incoming classes, but we seem to have a bunch of studs coming in and I'd have expected better than an A-.

I wouldn't get caught up and be upset with an A-. Doesn't matter if we rank 1st or 5th, we have a great class coming in with lots of talent and the future looks bright.

Blame grade inflation.
