There are 14 teams in the conference with the addition of Davidson this year, and with an 18 game schedule, that means that each league member will play five teams home-and-home, getting the other eight league foes once each. Four of those will be on the road and four will be at home.

I love the true round robin

They'd be better off with a sixteen game format like they had before.

yes they would.

I did a very extensive analysis of the scheduling techniques used by all the conferences that received 2 or more bids to the 2014 NCAA tourney. the A-10 "cracked the code" last year and reaped major benefits.

I'll write up a summary soon....

With all of the seniors that graduated this year, the A10 will return to abject Suck next year.

I think it will continue to be a league that puts about three teams in the field every year. That's what it was when we were in it, and I think that's what it will continue to be.

Last year, of course, was one of the better years.

On average, each team won over four games away from home in the OOC portion of the schedule. That includes the crap teams that didn't win any. I think that had a lot to do with it.

I am genuinely curious to see your analysis, though.

Look pretty weak. Nobody coming in to help either. VCU will walk into the C'Ship. Bunch of crappy teams. Maybe Fordham will rule.

No matter how weak the league gets, Fordham will still finish last.
