Of all the Xavier games I've watched or attended over the years, there are none that compare to the XU-K-State Sweet Sixteen game. Crazy to say that, given it was a loss. At any rate, I stumbled upon this article today, and although I'm sure it's been posted before, I thought it would be a good re-read during the offseason.

Thanks, Roach, for the reminder of how that game COMPLETELY ruined my weekend plans.

I can't read about that game without hearing that crowd in my ears. Everyone left an X fan. I think Pullen said he drank nine bottles of water during the night. When people talk about "leaving everything out on the floor" , this is the game.

I think that was the ONLY season as an X fan where I wasn't bummed after the final game.
I was so in awe of what I had just witnessed that I moved on quickly.

The Muskies beating Georgetown in Indy wasn't too shabby either!

I agree and also thinks those "die hard" days will be back starting next year.
