Marshall has hired Dan D'Antoni, who is the brother of Mark D'Antoni. He hasn't been on a college campus in forty years, or so, but since Huntington, WV is about forty years behind the rest of the nation, I think he should be fine.

I found this sequence of events to be very amusing. I particularly enjoyed how they dealt with Jeff Neubauer from Eastern KY, and am laughing at just imagining how he must have reacted to it. Great job Marshall!

How some people have jobs this high up and are totally clueless is amazing to me. I'm glad Neubauer told them to shove it the second time around.

It's Marshall.. who really wants to coach there? Canty left, Kane left, numerous player issues, D'Antoni may not be THAT BAD of a hire to be honest, he's been in the program, and brings some NBA experience, maybe a selling point to some recruits. There's just not much you can do at a program like Marshall who isn't big in the basketball world.

Read Parrish's and Goodman's tweets from yesterday. They've said all their contacts said it will be a disaster.

Marshall grad here. I cringed when I heard the news. Hope I'm wrong and DD does well. MU's AD is incompetent so I'm not holding my breath. Doesn't really matter, though, as football is king in Huntington. With the football program finally recovering from Mark Snyder very few people are giving the hoops program a second thought.

Maybe Mike will go be his brother's assistant now.
