I really like the guys on our team!

Saturday morning, my friends and I were playing basketball at the blue courts behind Cintas when Mack and all of the men's (and women's) team showed up. It was supposed to be some kind of community event to welcome in the community to our outdoor courts. (Basically - long story short - they built fences around them due to problems and now you have to scan your X card to get in, or if you're not a student you have to go to O'Connor and leave your ID for a card that will let you scan in.)

Anyway, because it was not advertised whatsoever, no one from the community showed up so it was just 8 of us there hooping and then the men's and women's teams. The guys were walking over and joking around with us. Dee came over and did some play-by-play of my friends and I as we played 4-on-4 on one of the courts. Jalen came over and asked how we're doing. Mack, Jalen, and I forget who else walked up a few times and said "I got next". They just seemed like cool guys to hang around and seemed to all get along with each other. Martin, Semaj, and Kamall were not there; pretty sure everyone else was.

No breaking news, just wanted to share that. Mack was on his phone a few times and I was tempted to say something like "Coach, if that's Cal, you better hang that phone up!" but I held back.

I hear you. I actually graduated in 2006. We played on the horrible courts that were behind the Commons (gone now) and then moved to the courts behind Cintas when they were built (probably like 2009 or 2010?). They are very nice..a few of the rims got messed up from idiots hanging on them but hopefully that won't happen anymore now with the scan-access only.

Haha, could've been. They were there for probably no more than an hour and I'd guess he got at least 3-4 phone calls. "Please Coach, come to Cal! We need you, we suck!"
