Xavier has been to 2 Elite 8's since the new Millenium. I can't recall a singe arrest, burning, looting or riot in either one.

Possible some truth to at least part of the statement. But honestly, Archie would have been successful wherever he coached and eventually would have moved up the food chain and made it this far one day- even without his brother coaching at X. Both brothers learned much of their fundamentals, focus and drive from their father- who was a heck of a high school bb coach. I'm sure Archie learned a bit from older brother Sean, as well... who learned from Thad Matta and some other solid coaches.

I know we're supposed to hate Dayton. Personally though, I don't look at it like, "Well, the only reason he got there is because of..." but instead
"Wow, this guy got to the elite eight with less talented players or at least with players who had fewer stars next to their name when they were recruited than X or any other school in the Big East (not named Creighton) and he had to beat a very good Ohio State and Syracuse team to get there. He truly is a good coach after all, and someone I would love for X to consider should we be in need of a new head coach one day."

My first year at UNC the Heels beat Duke at Cameron when the Devils were #1. The scene on Franklin Street was pretty amazing that night. Fires, cars turned over, the works. It was fun to experience since: (i) my car was safely parked somewhere else and (ii) I had been at the law school during the game and was just ready to get started drinking, so I wasn't lubed up enough to do anything stupid (and I wouldn't have anyway).
