Why is the idiot Ron Wellman so obsessed with taking shots at Gaudio whenever he can? Wellman didn't even have the guts to officially fire his boy.. he resigned.

From the press release...."recruited very good people, both players and staff, to Wake Forest......the team has shown improvement on the court and superb improvement off the court."

SUPERB improvement off the court? Who says that? And who honestly says WF has improved on the court during his tenure?

If I'm Wake fans, I'd be calling for Wellman to go.

Does anyone visit the Wake messageboards? Are the fans behind this talk that the program needed to be cleaned up? There was one kid.. Woods? ...who got in trouble if I remember. Other than that, I don't recall anything.

It was back in 2009 when 2 former Wake Forest players allegedly raped a fellow student in a hotel room during the NCAA Tournament that year (see link below):

I don't remember any charges coming out of this incident, but I'm wondering if how this was handled by Gaudio and his staff may have led to his dismissal.

The culture claim was complete misdirection for firing Gaudio. He and Welman had personal issues with each other allegedly.

That being said, calling Wake a terrible job is completely inaccurate. It's not Duke or UNC but Wake was one of the best programs in the ACC in the 90s and first ten years of the 2000s. They were ranked first in the country two separate years in the last ten. They just always underperform in the tournament. A good coach should have Wake as a consistently solid program.

Wake is a better job than NC State, but it is still a tough, tough job. Taking a job in the ACC at a school not named Duke, UNC, or Syracuse is going to give you some tough sledding.
