Parking at UD Arena

What's the protocol for parking near UD arena. Haven't been up there in years. Is public parking available near the arena? I assume there is a need for a parking pass close to the arena for the NCAA event?

Pass needed in front of the arena. No pass needed on the backside of the football stadium. It's 10 or 20 bucks cash. Once that fills up they'll send you over to the lots behind the hotels on the other side of the river. They usually have a shutle runnign from there, but it's not a bad walk from there with the weather forecast.

I use to always park at the hotel right across the diseased filled river. It's an easy in/out. I always walked into the hotel to make it look like I was staying there. No reason to get towed in Dayton. The actual UD lot is a disaster to get out of unless you leave early.

Actually, there is a gated exit at the back of the lot behind welcome stadium that dumps you on a side street with easy access to 75 and avoids all the traffic on the main road. Closed when you get there to park, but they have always opened it before exit time in the years I've been going up for the opening round games. Imagine pulling a Forrest Gump and just keep running through the north end zone out of the stadium. You'll see it. I probably should not have let this secret out, but if you all take my spot next to that gate I'll just negative rep you all.

Its only $3 to park in the overflow lot behind the Marriott, and there is a shuttle.

We're going to be getting out of our game after 11, I don't think there will be much traffic. Even hilljacks have to get up and work on Wednesday.

11 would be the time you would like to get out. 12 is the time you will get out. The X game will start closer to 9:30 maybe 9:40 unless the first game is a fast one. I will be rooting for overtime since I work till 10.
