If you could pick one of the above for a run in the Tournament, who would you pick and why? Guards only!

I took Sherwin Anderson just because I could not believe he was included in this poll.

What an odd list.

How is Lionel Chalmers not on that list? I chose Other, because Chalmers was my pick.

I was going to go with Sato, but Crawford would be the one that could really take over the game, if need be.

Tu was my vote until I realized Chalmers was missing. I caught the run in Orlando with the family and that was the most fun I've ever had at a sporting event. I had an interesting "converstation" with Tubby Tuba Boy from the opponents band who kept screaming "hey, zero, who is you?" After the game I explained some things to him. He's the guy who just kicked your ass - now go home. Legendary game for the whole family!

The way Chalmers played throughout the A10 and NCAA tourney compared to anyone else isn't even close. Others on this list may have been better players overall, but Chalmer's tourny performance that year was second to none.

Chalmers was on the list that I wrote down. But I'm saving him for a different poll. But otherwise yes he should be on there. Sorry.

Chalmers.

That was going to be my question...how the %&$* does Sherwin Anderson make this list, but Michael Hawkins doesn't? Regardless, I would go with Jordan Crawford. We only saw him lead us in one tourney, but it was a heck of a performance!

I picked Crawford but Lionel Chalmers would be my write in.

BTW....Go has been on fire lately making me laugh

I like Sato for a run with THIS team since we NEED a shooter. Our guards are decent enough, but a real shooter would be great.

Crawford, Holloway, and Byron Larkin would all fit if this was your criteria(needing a shooter) They all made big shots and could do more than Sato as much as i was a fan of him

My top 5 choices would be

Crawford
Chalmers
Holloway
Larkin
Lyons

I picked Sherwin because I was confident more of the posters had seen him play than Michael Hawkins.

I voted Lionel Chalmers.

I thought this was an odd list too. Some of these guys were point guards some shooting guards and some that could do both. But how can you not choose the #1 scorer in X history and top 20 in NCAA history?? But my next choice would have been Crawford. Then I would have chosen Sato, then Lavender, then Brown, then Holloway, then Lyons then Finn and Sherwin last.....but where is Gladden, Hicks and I am forgetting one or two they played in the 90's....dang I hate getting older....

I picked Sherwin because I was confident more of the posters had seen him play than Michael Hawkins.

Gary Lumpkin probably would have been a better choice, then, given that Gary displaced Sherwin in the rotation as a freshman.

Except rebound and play defense.

Remeber Sato was the defensive stopper on that 04 team. He is 8th all time in rebounding for X and scored over 2000 points including 2 of the top 10 point totals in X NCAA tournament history one of which was the game that got X to their first E-8.

Sato is my choice on that list...I would take him over Chalmers too.

I said Larkin for two reasons....

1. It would give some of the people here that never saw him play a chance to see what a real SCORER can do. With today's rules he would probably shot 20-25 free throws a game and would foul out the opposition guards in the first half of some games

2. It would make me feel young again....:)

With the choices I picked Lenny, he was cold blooded.

Chalmers, because he led THE Run.

How could you not have Lionel Chalmers included in this poll? The guy led a 10-9 team on the greatest turn around a Xavier team has ever seen to the brink of a Final Four.
