Matt Stainbrook continues to be in my prayers. That said, tonight contains an incredible opportunity. When one man goes down it gives others the opportunity to step up.
Seniors have a chance to shine on Senior night. I have a feeling that Philmore is going to have a man-sized game tonight. He is one tough kids and I love the way that he plays. It is sad that we have already come to his last home game. I would like to thank him and all the Seniors for his dedication and work for Xavier University.
It is great to see that the game is sold out and Standing Room only is once again available. Tonight is going to be an incredible atmosphere. I am looking forward to the Cintas rocking again.
I want to make Stains injury the best thing that ever happened to us. Stain is going to be back, but he won't be back tonight. Tonight gives other players a chance to shine and more importantly get back on track.
A Crisis in Confidence
Two of my favorite players have struggled a bit of late, and they are critically important to this team. Myles Davis and James Farr have the potential to be game changers off of our bench. They have both seen success this season, and they are formidable weapons in our arsenal. Myles won some Big East honors earlier in the season, including a game where he hit 5 treys. James Farr has had some great games as well, including a Crosstown Shootout where he didn't miss a shot, getting 10 points and 6 rebounds in 13 productive minutes. I have a great feeling that these guys are going to produce tonight and for the rest of the season.
Getting these guys back on track is critical to this team making a deep tournament run. When they shine tonight in the absence of Stain, people will look back at his brief injury as perhaps the best thing that could have possibly happened when this team came together more complete in the end.
Tonight is an incredible opportunity. #6 in the nation in front of a rabid Standing Room Only crowd. Senior night. Tonight will be special. I can't wait. We need to rally round the Muskies. Seize The Day!
TONIGHT WE RIDE!!!!!!!!!!
