Pitt losing to NC State at home is embarrassing. Not as embarrassing as losing to Seton Hall, but it's right up there.

Pitt is the ultimate Charlatan team this year. I hope to hell, that the committee follows its usual tenets and penalizes them for a Seth Greenburg-esque schedule. Would love to hear Jamie Dixon whine on Selection Sunday night.

So regarding BE positioning:

Providence has MU at home tonight followed by a trip to Omaha
MU @ Prov followed by SJU at home

Assuming we lose Thurs, we're 10-8. Assuming Prov and/or MU split, then we're all 10-8. Anyone know tiebreaker scenarios and how it affects BET seed? I was pretty confident we're in and that the committee might give us a little slack on yesterdays L with the short turnaround and losing Stain. By the same token if Stain is out for the year they could look at that another way. Of course, win Thursday and it's all a moot point.

We get the tiebreak over Providence because of our St. Johns sweep.

It really doesn't make a hill of beans as to the Big East Tournament.Xavier will be in a group playing one of A) Providence, B) St. Johns, C) Marquette. Ee could beat any of them, or lose to any of them. Unless GTown pulls off miracles, they'll be in the Wednesday bottom 4.
