Due to Creighton's misfortune, Villanova is now in first place in the Big East Conference.

Xavier happens to play Villanova next Thursday at 7:00.

This game is not sold out, and they are running a sale for the final game with the lowest ticket prices at $10 a pop.

I personally bought 11 extra tickets, and they are already taken. It is probably the best deal in price for sports as you are going to get in Cincinnati, or even America in general. Nova is a top 10 team, and when Xavier beats the second Top 10 team in 6 days, we will be one of the hottest teams in the country. What is not to love about that?

If you haven't made a game all year, Senior Night is a good one to go to, especially against the #8 team in the nation. Come thank the seniors and wish the team well because it is your last chance locally. From then they go to the Big East tournament, and after that March Madness. It is also a great game to take kids too, because the quality and enormity of the game is so large, and the price is so cheap. It is an incredible deal.

The fans last night were incredible. I would like to replicate that on Thursday. We need to sell that out, and for that to happen we need to get some asses in the seats. Buy some seats for friends if you have too. All the seats at Cintas are fantastic. It is a great venue to watch a game. I watch every game behind the last row of seats, and I can attest to that fact. The Creighton game day experience was infused with such energy and commotion that it was really a viral thing, you just caught it. If you haven't been to the TAS in awhile, take the plunge. Most of us here already go, and that is fine, but it is your duty to spread the word. Get your friends to come. A deal is a deal and they should jump on this on. I am bringing a horde for Nova. It is easy for me because I don't sit in my seats anyway, so if anyone wants to come and play they can play right along with me.

Lets sell this thing out. I want another fantastic experience.

Anyone here who gets a friend to buy seats to this game, please post it here. I will rep you, and encourage others to rep you as well. And my reps carry more weight, because I have big hairy balls. I think that is genetics.

$10 for end zone, $15 for court side. Mostly upper deck singles. If you want to buy multiples, better get on this quick. The 'Tas is nearly sold out.

Yes. In fact, I saved $26 by going through goxavier instead of Ticketmaster.

With #4,5 and 7 losing, could Nova be top 5 coming into the Cintas on Thursday?

I got Snipe to get me a seat. Does that count?

Can someone post the link? When I go onto the website it links me to Ticketmaster and is saying between $25-40 for seats.

Snipe is indeed a Great American for giving us the heads up. I snagged two tickets for my Father-In-Law at $10 a piece. The last game he attended was UC, so hopefully he brings the same mojo with him Thursday night!

Pimp, the offer only shows up when you click on individual seats on the seating map.

I am currently constrained from giving reps for the rest of the day, but a new day will come and I will continue to spread the reps.

I want this baby sold out! Yesterday was incredible.

I would love to see Nova top 5.

ELECTRIC AVENUE: Coach Chris Mack started his press conference with a shout-out to the arena record-crowd of 10,483 at Cintas Center.

“I just want to start out by thanking our crowd. Our fans were awesome. Largest turnout in Xavier basketball history, 10,500, and we felt it them each and every possession,” Mack said. “Down the stretch, I can’t imagine what Creighton was feeling.”

The school sold around 150 standing room only tickets, which added to a chorus that was at times deafening. (But in a good way.)

My vote for the loudest moment would be when Semaj stole the ball, lost it, then stole the ball again, took it to the rack and got fouled. His effort on that single play was incredible. Even more amazing when you considered the guy played 40 minutes, and he still has the energy to do that in the second half. The crowd showed its approval in a big bad way. Deafening indeed. That was one of the loudest moments in Cintas Center history.

I luckily got an open seat right behind mine and next to two friends for the discounted price! Taking both sons for an upset win over 'nova! Thanks Snipe!

When I just tried on GoXavier.com, it offers the Fan Appreciation price ($10 or $15 depending on section) and it looks like it adds a $5 fee. Ticketmaster.com will give you their own ridiculous prices, $36 etc. per ticket.

So buy 'em up off of GoXavier, not ticketmaster. Or at the box office ofcourse, for no fee at all.

Chris Mack went absolutely crazy on that play. I think it was leading into a TV timeout. He ran out on the floor. That play was awesome.

Honestly, though, I gotta ask.

Why does Xavier have to resort to selling seats for $10 to fill the building for a Top 10 team coming in for a league game on Senior Night? Really?

How was this game not totally sold out in January? Hell, there ought to be a demand for SRO.

Ticket special is now $15...and they are still available.

Sorry, but this pisses me off. WTF is going on with the Xavier fanbase? A horrible crowd effort vs Seton Hall in a Big East home game, and after the great win vs Creighton, they don't sell out on Sunday for Senior Night and a Top 10 team coming in the following Thursday?

Maybe it is my imagination, but overall, the crowds have been noticeably less intense than past years. Is it because the perception is that we have finally climbed the mountain and we're smug and satisfied?

Whatever it is, I don't like it. C'mon people.

I feel like the crowd is getting older and less energetic. Section 208 used to rock the house but it's gone silent. Lots of empty seats, gray hair and inattentive kids.

Michigan Muskie, Jr. and his little brother (Jr Jr?) will travel south with me to do our part Thursday. I can promise neither of them will lack energy or attentiveness.

I think some of it is that we have premium priced some of the fan base out. When I got my first season tickets in 1995, the entire season was $112. It was the best deal going in sports. Now we have a real program with all the real amenities and a real arena. Those things cost money. I was looking for an individual seat for a game a couple weeks ago, and a single in the upper deck is close to $40 all in, just to get in the door. if you are a recent college grad and you want to get together with 3 of your buddies to watch the game, do you drop $160 on 4 tickets and another $80 on beers, or do you go to a bar or someone's house, watch the game on the big screen and spend less than that.

We have a nice fan base, but we have priced out some other fans.

I think Kahns is absolutely right.

Average attendance is down all over the country. Ticket prices are also up all over the country.

Strangely, no one in charge seems to make that correlation.
