I know we all believe X controls it's own destiny over the next three games to garner an at-large birth. That said, I felt like creating this "Rooting interest" can give us all reasons to watch games and root against those teams that could make it interesting down the stretch and those that can help improve X's overall resume; via seeding or at-large berths. I plan to create a new daily thread to continue this and create some additional discussion.

Not that I'm cheering for UK to win, but it'd be nice if Arkansas can pull out a loss here in OT.

Am I reading it wrong...aren't we suppose to be rooting against things like that?

Right now Marquette is playing Georgetown. I'm rooting for Georgetown. Georgetown wins then Xavier remains in 3rd place all alone. Georgetown loses then Marquette is tied with Xavier for 3rd place.

Also a Marquette lose would most likely eliminate any possible at-large bid; which was a long shot anyway.

- Morehead loses to lowly Tennessee St to give them zero shot at getting into the top 100.
- Arkansas probably punches ticket to dance with win at Rupp.
- Louisiana Tech leaves small door open for at-large and most likely eliminates Middle Tennessee
- Southern Miss hangs with La Tech as C-USA bubble team with win vs. FIU
- VCU ripped Fordham to stay projected with white jerseys in 2nd round matchup
Overall not a great day for X so far...
Just win on Saturday

....and FS1 switches to Oregon St/USC and the Trojans down 17-3. Andy Enfield really has some work to do. How X ever lost to them is beyond defensible.
Iowa's collapse continues.
Really, Really bad day for X RPI.

This UCLA game is ridiculous.
UCLA was down 6 with 22 seconds and down 3 with with 1.3 seconds and forced overtime with a buzzer 3 on a great pass to set it up. Wow. College basketball fever 2 days from March.

I think Enfield may be a truly horrible coach who knows he caught lightning in a bottle and got paid in the brief window before his 15 minutes would otherwise have been up. Steve Prohm is probably kicking himself for not doing the same.
Don't know who Prohm is? Exactly.
