Once again the women's team seems to be down to a skeleton crew. From what I could tell only seven dressed tonight with two of those (Christina Ohlinger and Sydney Neal) combining for 14 minutes. With Crittenden, Schaefer, and Gladney among the injured, everyone else played at least 36. They put up a really good fight against Creighton, leading midway through the second half and only losing by nine, but it'd be nice to get through a season with at least close to a full squad left at the end.

It's a shame how badly the women's program has been decimated since the departure of McGuff and the two Harris girls.

Major credit to the ones still fighting (not to slight the injured players)
They are really fighting an uphill battle.
I do PA announcing for a D-2 team down here in FLA, that is experiencing similar situation.
2 starters transfered out shortly before the school year started, Only 3 of 5 commits came through, 1 more player that got moderate minutes last year injured, one other that was injured last year re-injured.
Then during the season a key player quit/suspended from the team.
So they have 8, and one is a struggling freshman who started the season never playing, now has worked her average up to 12 minutes per game.
While their season has been an ongoing strugle, 9-13 and 2-10 a week ago they put a huge scare into the #10 team in the nation, and took them right to the wire, holding a lead till the 8 minute mark in the 2nd half, finally losing by 5,
Pride is what they are fighting for right now,,, and I think doing it well. Very very impressed with Kayla Davis' play. averaging 12 points and 5 assists since being pushed to the starting five a week ago.
Damn shame that this is Wanninger's final season, hell of an athelete, she has alot to be proud of

They also played well with the reduced squad at Marquette. Not reflected so much in the record, but the team continues to play hard and stay competitive. Still lots of basketball to go ... look forward to making the trip to Cincy for Senior day vs Villanova.

I admittedly don't follow the women's program much at all, but does anyone have any idea what is going on there?
It seems like things have been an absolute train wreck this past year starting with the coach resigning.
Did anyone ever get the real story on her resignation?

Anyone know how serious the injuries are? Any word when any or all of them will be able to play?
