McDermott going off. Could end up with 40 in this one! They look good.

He's passed Larry Bird on the all-time scorers list.

If they played the NCAA tourney in Omaha Creighton would probably win it all. Unfortunately for them when they are away from Omaha they aren't nearly as good.

I believe I saw a similar display, but the opposing uniforms looked like OURS!

So, Nova gave up 101 points to Creighton. I guess our 95 point give up wasn't so bad.

Larry Bird? He was pretty good, right? I had no idea he was in THAT territory.

We cant guard them. Im not sure anyone can guard McDermott. Absolute stud. I do notice though that he initiates contact quite a bit close to the basket. He almost always leads with his shoulder and forces his way into the lane. Hopefully something the coaching staff can take advantage of.

Especially since we only scored 6 fewer points despite shooting poorly from the free throw line.

McDermott is very crafty with his body and angles. Reminds me of Larry Bird but probably more athletic than Bird. Just a very smart player. I see him doing ok in the NBA.

Bird did only play 3 years. Still impressive though.

I just looked up Bird's ISU stats, and it's pretty interesting that his scoring average actually dropped each year at ISU (from 32.8 to 30 to 28.6). By his final year he was averaging 15 boards and 5.5 assists, though. That's pretty solid /understatementfont.
