This is the one game where I win and lose. Born & raised in Milwaukee as a huge Marquette fan; my late father was a tenured professor at Marquette for 27 years and we had season tickets for over 20 years. I decided to experience a different path and left WI for Cincy for Xavier in 1987. Best decision I have EVER made, hands down. I still love Marquette and got a graduate degree there in 93. I still follow them but XU is my team!

Are Gus and Bill doing Villanova-Creighton tomorrow? Thought/wished they would do the game on the main channel.

Huge, challenging spotlight game for Xavier. Big opportunity for a quality road win and solidify that tournament bid. Win this one and Xavier starts playing for seeding, not just a spot. Marquette was the preseason favorite for good reason, but I like the chances of the Xavier team that played defense the last two games.

My first MU home game in 4 years. 3 generations attending. The oldest XU, the middle MU, the third "who cares".

I remember a Xavier-Temple game at the Cincy Gardens in the late 90's that was on ABC and Dick Vitale did the color commentary. Not sure if it was nationwide or regional though.

Last year when we played Butler in the 24 hour Tip-Off Marathon? Not sure what ESPN channel it was on, but I'm pretty sure broadcasted nationally. Though I guess ESPN and their sub-channels aren't considered "national" since they aren't one of the major network stations.

Thanks everyone for answering my question. I had the same problem as you Thrill. I could remember games on ABC and CBS, but couldn't remember if they were regional or national. Now I remember the Duke/XU game on CBS...I'm pretty sure that one was national. I remember being at the Winking Lizard in Cleveland to watch it....I soaked my sorrows in a big way that day. Winking Lizard is a good place to do such.

So, I'm sitting here watching the game in Jacksonville and this local Fox station breaks away to provide coverage for the Michael Dunn trial.

And now we go forward into the mind numbing analysis of analysis of crap that will absolutely mean nothing when this is all said and done.

As it turns out, the CBS affiliate here broke away from it's coverage of the PGA event at Riviera, but the NBC affiliate has stuck with it's extremely expensive Olympics coverage..

Well done. Actually this is about a white guy who shot a young black man at a gas station here locally, in part because he was playing music way too loudly and because he believed his life was in danger from that person and his associates.

The pack line wasn't working so he switched to a 2-3 zone which isn't exactly known for preventing perimeter shooting. I just don't get it with his D strategy this year.
