Just saw that... wonder what happened that Xavier had to dismiss a senior with only 6 games left. The turmoil in this program continues..

This might be a bit too easy, but here goes - Maybe she stole someone's dog?

Absolutely shocked, young lady had such a great year, great career at X. Very sad day for this group.

was also shocked to hear this. Very strange indeed. Timing is odd. Either the offense was so bad that Coach really had no choice or there were prior unpublicized issues (it just stands to reason) and Coach felt he had to go this route. No win for all parties but she still leaves with degree in hand. So there is that, I guess.

Totally disagree "Cheese", this could not have been an on the court issue. I can't think of any instance where a team or individual performance resulted in removal. You get benched, get playing time reduced, not dismissed. "for a violation of athletic department rules"

I hope this isn't as bad as it sounds. Maybe she did something that she didn't know was going to be a problem.. until it was.
Oh well, the future is now.. guess Kayla Davis will be the starting point guard.

I think you may be interpreting the phrase "the offense" the wrong way here. I don't think Cheese was talking about play on the court, but off it.

Haha... I took it the same way PA did.

Yeah, probably should have used different word.LOL. I meant the act itself not her play on the court.

Just read this. It's sad to hear, really bad for the team. Obviously something serious........maybe her off-the-court conduct?

Is she pregnant? That might cause her to abruptly end her basketball career.

She didn't leave the team on her own. She was dismissed....
