With the agreement in hand, Rutgers will become an official member of the Big Ten July 1 of this year.

Awesome. I can't wait for the Northwestern-Rutgers football and basketball games. That should turn into quite a rivalry.

About the same as how Ohio U feels. UC knew the Big Ten had no interest in them.

UConn, on the other hand, is pretty upset.
