Black Alternate Uniform for Next Season: Yay or Nay?

I can't believe I voted no. I used to love black unis but it's just not us anymore.

Blue or white...I love the Kansas script type and would love to see X wear those.....all white with blue lettering....would be really, really cool

I say "Nay"! Blue on the road and white with the occasional grey at home.

I do not want to see black uniforms...school colors are blue/white with a splash of gray...NO BLACK Uniforms.....

I said Yay, because anything is better than the grey alternative uni.

However, I would prefer that the alternative uni would be a throwback to the uniforms before we changed color scheme. I love the royal blues, and would love that to be the permanent alternative uniform that we wear 2-3 times per season.

1) Like it or not Black IS a part of our "basketball tradition". I got 2 words for you… DAVID WEST
2) For all intents and purposes, white, gray and black are “neutral” colors when it comes to uniforms. Many teams employ these colors as alternates even though they are not in the school palate including: Duke, Butler, Kansas, Tennessee, Florida, Florida State, Texas, Stanford.
3) Black does not mean “thug” or mean the players wearing them are thugs. Again, I’ll point toward the examples of Duke and Stanford above. Both of those teams have black uniforms.
4) Love or hate Nike, they have a pulse for what is “IN”. I will trust their pulse and the decision makers at X when it comes to these matters. If it helps secure another top 10 class, I don’t care if the uniforms are gold…as long as it says “XAVIER” on the front.

Don't care. Our colors are Navy and White. I'll accept the grey, but that's as far as I'll go. Not that Nike or XU care.
