Who's headed to Hinkle? I'll be there provided my tickets show up. Don't forget the alumni mixer beforehand.

I'll be there. I'm driving down from Chicago so I don't think I'll make the pregame mixer.

Driving up 74 with brother Tuesday afternoon. I would hope X will have a decent representation in Hinkle.

For anyone that has been to game there....how it the atmosphere? Do I need to truly act as a road fan or are people fairly decent to deal with?

Been up there the last 3 times we've played at Hinkle.. The infamous clock game, Dez's coming out party and last years game. With how bad BU has been this year, I'm guessing it will be a similar atmosphere to December of '11. Middle of the week and not a great atmosphere. They don't pack the place and you should be able to rep the X well (along with many others I'm hoping).

Pacers are off that night, so should be a good crowd. Even though I live in Indy I rarely go to this game. Unless you are way better than Butler, your chances of getting screwed are very high at Hinkle. I can't take the aggravation, and I don't want to get thrown out of the place. I usually make 2 or 3 trips to Cintas instead.

I'll be there. Xavier is sending a bus of students, not sure how many people though. We had around 50 last year at Purdue so somewhere around there hopefully.

Going with 2 buddies, stopping at Tilted Kilt bar for beer, food and viewing before game. Went last year, 1st time I had been in the barn since 80's when I photographed Indiana sweet 16 games. Still seemed like same place and we were sitting on the bleachers.

Well the fans are nice enough, but they aren't all drunk and dropping multiple F-Bombs in front of little kids, so it might feel like a road game.

is the Tilted Kilt the best place to go pregame? Someone recommended Ike and Jonesys? Any ideas of a great place, especially close to Hinkle, would be appreciated!

Yeah keep in mind unless things have changed that Butler doesn't serve Alcohol at the games. You would think they would to improve the appearance of their hilljack fans.

The Tilted Kilt and Ike and Jonseys are okay, but they're like 50 blocks from Hinkle and parking is a pain in the a--. Something in Broad Ripple or Moe and Johnny's would make more sense.

Right because the Civilized streets of Cincinnati are so far from Indianapolis. Next time i come to Cintas I'll drive my combine.

You're doing pretty well financially if you can afford a combine

My thoughts exactly, however if I posted that you would ban me for a week.

I'm planning on walking up to buy some nosebleeds with some friends, I'll look for Muskie in the high-rollers (i.e. actual seats) section.

Broadripple area is probably better than the Tilted Kilt, which is downtown, but the wait staff is very easy on the eyes.

My username might seem to signal a biased opinion, but nonetheless, the Tilted Kilt has gone the way of Hooters. All the hotties they hired when it first opened have been replaced by pregos and bruised up fatties. I recommend Moe and Johnny's or Twenty Tap which are both at 54th and College Ave - a few blocks east of Hinkle.

There are plenty of tickets left for this game and not just nosebleeds. I'm assuming BU is happy this is not a Saturday game and extra happy it's at 9pm.... both factors which will keep the X fans from having a bigger contingent.

Rumor has it that X alum David West, Paul George and Roy Hibbert will be in attendance at tonight's game.

Hibbert came to watch Georgetown play at Hinkle earlier in the season.

There was a picture of West talking to Xavier at the shootaround this morning. It said he'd be back tonight. That's cool if the other guys come with him.

I can't say anything about Broad Ripple on a monday evening, but whenever I've been out there with my cousins, I've had an absolute blast. Really cool area.

Maybe DFW could borrow Philmore's goggles and slip into the lineup.

Zak Keefer ‏@zkeefer 15m
Hearing not only David West but Roy Hibbert, George Hill and Paul George will all be sitting courtside at the #Butler-Xavier game tonight.

Update on what I'd posted earlier - Keefer's the Butler beat writer at the Indianapolis Star.

Moe and Johnny ' s, 20 Tap and Fat Dan's are all good. All are about 1 mile from Hinkle. Broad Ripple is 8 blocks up College from there.
