They are 9-1 at home and other than 1 game (funny that it was a 4 pt win against Delaware), every Nova home game has been decided by double-digits.
They lost to Creighton by 26.
Won the rest by 26 (DePaul), 30 (Prov), 21, 21, 23, 34, 31, 16.

eek. i'd take nova and the points. nova plays some of their games at the wells fargo center in the city, the other games on campus.
if this game were at wells fargo, it would help our cause - doubt a lot of students would take the hike in the snow. instead, it's on campus and classes are cancelled. expect an extra loud, wild and drunk student section this evening.

Interesting to me that our game is not one of the ones slated for wells fargo.

I could see us winning, and I could see us losing by 30. No idea what to expect tonight, so it should be interesting.

For some reason, I just don't have a good feeling about the next 5 weeks. I hope I'm wrong.

Drudy23, I feel like basically however you feel about the team after a loss or two, I usually feel the opposite. I can't wait for the team to get a win tonight. I hope I'm right and you're wrong, but maybe the bubbling optimism I still feel isn't very realistic.

I think X will make a game out of it. The last big run will win the game.. unfortunately, our past two opponents have had the last big scoring runs so maybe it'll go our way tonight.

I wonder how much zone Nova will use against us since we obviously struggle against it. We need to hit some outside shots tonight and need more effort from the bench.

I am with you. This is definitely sUCks year and not ours. I hope Semaj doesn't leave here with no tourney games but at this rate.....I don't think he will play a tourney game at Xavier. Down low we are weak and if Dee and Martin go back to below average this team is not very good. If Mack coaches like he did Saturday with his lineups and offensively, we will be lucky to go .500 in this league. Saturday was telling after a week off.
As for tonight. Just hope we don't lose by 30.

I don't know that I'm quite here yet (miss the tourney)....but the remaining schedule is a b**ch. Six tough road games and 2 very tough home games. Ugh....I hope this team can steal a few. I just see us squarely on the bubble come Big East tourney week.

I have good news. After watching Saturday's game, I can't imagine we can cover in this game. I'm going to take Nova and give the points. The good news is that when I get to the point that I'm betting against us, we tend to play some of our best games (see also: Crosstown shootout, the last time I bet against us).

You can all blame me. I didn't get my bet in on time.
