Didn't see this posted anywhere but looks like Semaj has been passed up so far. How is Craft on this list?

Craft is the perfect example of media (ESPN) overhype. Good defender but horrible offensive player. He has no reason being on this list, he's honestly a fringe top 25 PG in the country let alone player.

Not only is Craft not very proficient on the offensive end, he is having a poor year even by his standards. His ppg, 3pt%, and ft% are down and he's turning the ball over at a much higher rate. He's a good player but he is nowhere near good enough to be considered for the Wooden award this year.

Gary Parrish tweeted that the votes were due on 1/10 but not released until today. Therefore anything that has happened in the past 2 weeks wasn't considered.

(still doesn't justify some of the inclusions and exclusions, but something to consider.)

Good for Craft, bad for Semaj.

Good for Craft, bad for Semaj.

So true... bad timing. Maybe if Semaj gets 10 years in the league and Craft becomes an assistant coach somewhere, Semaj can get over the slight.

Respectfully but vehemently disagree.

Cronin just tweeted about how some guy named Kilpatrick (who the fuck is he?) Isn't on the list. Call in the panelists irresponsible. I think its irresponsible that UC lets Cronin tweet.

It's unbelievable... He just can't help himself. Can you imagine Mack doing that? Yea me either, because he has much more class and is smarter than to post something so childish being in his position.

He is just sticking up for his guy nothing wrong with that. However Justin Jackson is the one who he should be protecting. That guy was on a tear although he has cooled down as of late. Glad to see UC getting back to prominence, I always loved hating that program. Since Dayton is just too easy to make fun of I am glad UC is giving us a second option.

With Lawrence out with turf toe, it is difficult to keep Jackson out of foul trouble. I agree that he has been UC's most important player. He is the #1 player in the country in Valued added defense (LINK (http://valueaddbasketball.com/); filter by defense)

Yeah the one time I actually agree with Cronin. Sticking up and backing your best player is a good thing. I'm sure Mack will say the same thing about Semaj at some point.

I'm really sad that Justin Jackson is a senior.

I really enjoyed watching Stainbrook walk all over him this year.

And Semaj never got to properly show Kilpatrick who the best player in the city is....but I guess he can show him that next year when Semaj is running point for an NBA team and Kilpatrick is watching him from a TV in Israel.

Also note: Just because they weren't on the list now doesn't mean they can't be a finalist.

Victor Oladipo didn't make the top 25 but he did make the top 5.

I don't think it would be absurd for Semaj to get that consideration if his play keeps elevating like this.

There is something wrong with you if you do not think craft should be on this list. Name a point guard that you would not like to have on your team but him

I absolutely do not think Craft should be on that list. 9 points, 5 assists, 2 steals, and "he plays hard." I forget who tweeted it last night, but who cares about intangibles if you aren't winning?

If those are your qualifications, then I'd rather have Briante Weber.

Fred Van Vleet is better than Craft and plays on a better team.

This is another one.

How hard is it to get this right?

Just like the Top 25 rankings.............Do some research, collect the data and weed out the bullshit.

Craft on this list, diminishes all of the other nominees IMHO.

They're leaving off 1st round NBA draft picks in lieu of a guy who plays hard? WTF

Off the top of my head I'd take Tyler Ennis, DeAndre Kane, Keith Appling, Marcus Smart, and Naadir Tharpe on my team over Craft.

Craft is having a down year and is going through a horrible stretch of games right now. It's ok. It happens. What isn't ok is giving him an honor he doesn't deserve because he "plays hard". Playing hard and not filling the stat sheet is great when you win. When your team loses 4 in a row and you're not producing, "playing hard" doesn't mean much.

Slow down there Burrcat with the love of Jackson, Joel Embiid says your ranking needs adjustment. The list isn't horrible but there are 2-4 headscratchers on there.

From Sports Illustrated "Xavier’s Semaj Christon pushes Doug McDermott for Big East player of the year"

http://college-basketball.si.com/2014/01/21/xavier-semaj-christon-big-east-doug-mcdermott/

Not sure how someone who is contesting a national POY frontrunner for the conference POY didn't even make it on the list.... but then again people like Gary Parrish get to vote for these things.

Please, please tell me you're mocking the white announcers who say this during every OSU game.
