A request for prayers

I once again implore the faithful for prayers for multiple individuals and families.

Brunsiwck High School lost two young men over the weekend, one of which I knew briefly during our winter league lacrosse sessions. Matthew was 14, and due to bullying online and at school, he ended his pain this past weekend. Matt was a good kid, learning lacrosse and developing into an outstanding player. This same weekend, a 17 year old named Anthony also took his own life. The families, school, and community could use your thoughts and prayers as they get past these two tragedies.

I also plead for your prayers of a family friend, Tom Votava. Stricken with cancer, along with suffering from two siezures and a heart attack, he is no longer in pain and is now basking in the Glory of God. The former chief of police for Bowling Green, OH, he retired and ran Brad Pitt's charity in New Orleans after Katrina. He spent his free time riding his motorcycle and enjoying conversations with his friends around a bottle of scotch. His presence will be sorely missed amongst his family and friends.

Madina city schools were quoted by the news today that they weren't aware bullying was an issue. Sites like ask.fm have been widely criticized as the source to a lot of the bullying that Matthew and others have been facing.

Just read the wiki article on ask.fm. What an awful site. At least with twitter/facebook there is transparency and accountability.
