I haven't followed Kansas closley, but haven't heard much about Andrew Wiggins (at least not as much as I would expect from the presumptive #1 NBA Lottery pick). Has anyone seen him play? I see he's averaging 15 points per game, but that seems somewhat low considering the hype he received.

Should have gone to Wichita State to play with his brother. They'd probably be ranked #2 or #3 right now with Andrew Wiggins on the team.

He's still figuring it out. But what you cannot miss is how athletic and smooth he is. As far as his numbers are concerned, he is playing with Embiid and Selden who both are lottery picks. Tharpe, Black, and Ellis are all pretty good players as well.

I apparently bought into the Hype Machine...

ESPN.com features him on their Talk of the Town section.

Dick Vitale talks about how "he is a superstar in transition." I'm wondering how many D1 college guards and wings aren't good in transition? No shit. You aren't facing the same sort of defense. Maybe if you don't dribble well on the run?
I guess I'm more impressed with guys who score in traffic.

I've watched him a couple of times and I am convinced the "falling of his stock" is a result of post-hype blow back. His biggest issue, in my eyes, is he can be too passive. He tries to make sure others are involved and his teammates are getting his, when he should be taking over. Then, either by choice or necessity, he turns it on and looks unstoppable. I think Juice hit the nail on the head in that his teammates are good, and I don't think he has tried to become the guy (like he probably should).
I am still very much a "buyer" of Andrew Wiggins.

I was going to make a dumb joke about being too passive is the Canadian way, but that's really not fair.
Wasn't LeBron sort of the same way early in his career? He'd try to get other involved instead of taking control like he should have?

The knock on him out of high school is that he is too nice/not assertive enough/doesn't have the killer instinct or whatever. I just think it's a matter of time before he realizes that he's the best player on the floor and takes over.

I totally agree with the thoughts about Wiggins being too passive.
Another thing is he get a little lax on the defensive end at times. And with the schedule KU has played (by all accounts one of the toughest in the country) the Jayhawks don't have room for much error on the defensive end.
Finally, KU has a TON of guys who can play the 3/4. Self has seemingly unlimited options on the bench who all need PT. He's been quick with the rotations and some games it just seems like Wiggins never really gets into the flow of the game. This may play into his whole assertiveness issue too.
I think he has all the tools on the offensive end of the floor to go pro after this season. I'm not sure if he's mentally prepared for the NBA, at least not yet.

Something may have clicked for Wiggins. He went for 17 points and 19 rebounds tonight on the road at Iowa State. Also scored 22 against K-State on Saturday.

Still think he should have gone to play for the premier hoops program in Kansas. I mean, there's only one program that's been to the Final Four in the last 12 months.

Tough out of conference road games can lead to big conference road wins. Kansas's schedule was brutal. They are perhaps the most road tested team in the country, and it showed last night. They pretty much led wire to wire, against a top ten team in a hostile environment.

Watch out. KU has now won 4 straight games vs top 25 teams. Apparently the first time any CBB team has done that since UNC in 1997.

Kansas clinched at least a share of their 10th straight Big 12 championship tonight. Mind boggling.
