Southern Illinois Basketball Team Stuck on Team Bus

Too bad they don't have guys like Mark Smydra, Rodger DeGarmo, Ed Quick, Pat Pugliese, Matt Koenig, and myself to help push their bus. Back when I was a team manager, we never let our bus get stuck in snow. Gillen wouldn't let us...he would make us get out and push the damn thing off the ice (while essential players, coaches, and media remained on said bus) like we did on the campus of St Francis PA.

Man, that coach REALLY hates his team. Or maybe he is recruiting. But it's more fun to think that he REALLY hates his team.

Guess I must have missed something but push the bus where? They closed the Interstate. I would have thought the team managers would have instead checked the weather report for blizzard conditions and then went back to their hotel after the game. If you've ever been in one of these situations, things go bad quickly and you're suddenly screwed, and nothing is going to move until the plows show up the next day.

The team must have bonded in this experience so that they've really come together as a team now. They lead 33-32 at halftime in Wichita.
