Last 4 games has 25 assists and 1 turnover. That is pretty incredible.

The guy is an absolute stud of a basketball player. His free throw shooting has been gradually improving lately too.

Yes 73% last 8 games. Also shooting 44% from 2 and 41% from 3. His defense is great too, becoming a complete player which if he continues he will be making a lot of money this time next year.

He has been playing great as of late but please help me understand how he is going pro next year? I believe you guys when you say he is but I just don't see how? Can you make it in the NBA with no jump shot? That's not a rhetorical question.

Rajon Rondo.

_ason Kidd managed to do it in his early years before he developed a jumper.

Pretty sure Derrick Rose didn't develop his jump shot until the NBA.

Funny. Every NBA coach preaches to his team to stop taking a bunch of jump shots.

Well I wish him the best! I don't see it but I trust you guys. It is sooo nice seeing him distribute the ball now and not have to take all the weight on his shoulders.

XU pa I couldn't believe it when I saw his numbers. They seemed like a quite 20 points. I just remember Stain scoring all day. Well I guess I better start paying close attention to Semaj if this is his last year.

John wall shoots less than 30% from 3. semaj is lightning quick, passes well and plays good defense. During yesterday's game they said he is the most NBA ready player in the Big East. I am pretty sure scouts are not too concerned about his jumper. If he keeps having games where he is a pass first point who doesn't turn it over, he will not be here next year. If he is Xavier will be scary good.

He's shooting much better this year from 3 PT range.....granted he's not taking a lot of them......

I doubt he will ever be considered a really good shooter.....he's a slasher who can get to the rim and create shots for his teammates.

Felt the same way,,, this season he just seems to get it done so much more quietly than last year when he was the focus of everything. Watching him cut to the basket in a crowd and just roll that ball off fingertips into the basket is pure magic!!!!

This appeared as a bullet point in CBS Sports' summary of yesterday's games.

Semaj Christon has established himself as one of the best playmakers in the country, going for 20 points and eight assists as Xavier beat Butler, 79-68.

Not enough is said about his defense. He's really developed into a great defender this year. We saw flashes of it last year but this year you literally see him all over the place denying the ball, forcing turnovers, and altering shots.

Averaging 17 and 8 in Big East Play.....

I think he's gone likely gone after this year and even with him gone I think we're a better team next year than this year.

But if he decides to come back? Next year could be real special.

Oftentimes players get steals at the expense of sound, position defense, leaving themselves open to driving lanes or open shots. That was sometimes true of Christon last year, especially off the ball. He'd grab steals at times but be out of position too often. This year, his fundamental defense is fantastic, while he is managing the same steal rate and adding it a respectable block rate for a guard.
