fair first half, stayed within 11, ran off the 1st 6 points in the second half and cut the lead to 5, then the wheels kind of fell off. DePaul put the hammer down and won by nearly 30.

Not a good Big East start but there were some good spots.

Agree with XU-PA's assessment ... we were also down early by a lot. Team showed lots of positives to climb back in it - we had the momentum starting the 2nd half. We did mostly fine with the full court pressure in the first half, but we had a few bad series in the second half and that seemed to let things unwind. Still they played hard and there were some nice plays as the game ended.

I thought we'd have problems matching up with DePaul's size, but that didn't seem too much of a problem. I thought our 1/2 court defense was mostly pretty solid. Need to work on the transition game, but this young team is improving.

Nice small group of Xavier fans on hand despite the wintry weather. Let's just say that Xavier is fortunate to have Cintas. The Musketeers come back to Chicago in March for the Big East Women's Tournament.
