Thought this was a good jumping off point to compare conferences as each starts conference play.

The lack of success against top 50 teams has been slightly worrisome, but most objective measures still have the Big East as a top 3 or 4 conference ahead of either the Pac-12 or ACC.

I used to worry about this kind of stuff all of the time with the A-10. With the new league and the fact that it's a perfect fit for X, I'm done with all of that. I think this league will prove over the next several years that it will have staying power and be a consistent top 5 league in college basketball.

There's no question it'll consistently be better than the A-10. The A-10 was usually a top 8ish league so the BE should be top five pretty much every year, especially if a couple more solid programs are added. Not to mention the awesome recruiting classes the most teams in the conference have coming in should make this a solid league for a long time.
