With some amazing talent on the team currently, plus the recruiting class coming in next year, will Xavier have a National POY in the next 5 years?

I would imagine it's really, really small. That's not to discount who is coming in, but just looking at numbers, there can only be one player of the year. There are a ton of basketball players in the country.

I boycott this list due to the fact that there is no Jalen Reynolds.

not likely for any of them. Christon and Blueitt are the only 2 with even a chance based off of potential in my opinion

great post nailed it jalen is too quick off the dribble!
That is extremely rarified air, the cream of the cream, elite stuff with so many unbelievable players from great programs all across the country. Having said that, I didn't vote because there was no option for "All of The Above".

This thread is bordering on the ridiculous.
Let's focus on a BE POY first.

My reasoning behind this thread was David West. I'm not sure his name would have been on a poll like this when he was just a recruit or even after his freshman year, but we all know how that ended. The future is bright, with the talent we have now and beyond. Good things, BIG things are coming.

Obviously the odds are slim, but not unprecedented.
On the plus side, the Musketeers are playing in a much higher profile league and getting higher quality talent (at least ratings would indicate).
On the negative side, although the players are (purportedly) more talented, they are also competing against similarly higher quality players making it less likely for one player to so completely dominate.
No is the most reasonable answer, but who wants that!
DO IT, BLUEITT!

Maybe the better question would be: if Xavier has a National Player of the Year in the next few years, who will it be?
Of the guys listed above, I'd probably go Semaj first and then Bluiett second With Semaj, it would be contingent on him staying another year or two. I think that kid could be one hell of a shooter if he just let it go when he had the open shot. That's the only thing at this point keeping him from being a great player.
