That's SIU's coach. They lost to Murray State.
I don't think he likes Chris Lowery's recruits. Doesn't surprise me. Lowery was terrible.

I've always liked Barry Henson. If a guy is mad, and says that he's mad, and explains in no uncertain terms the reasons that he's mad, is that really so wrong??
I don't have a problem with it. It's entertaining, that's for sure. But, I don't think he said that too mean spirited.

What that coach has done is not only throw his team underthe bus, he's backed it up over them and made sure he squashed them all. One of two things will happen. He'll be fired before midseason, or his kids will show their guts if they have any and try to prove him wrong. In any event, rough times ahead for that team. Hope they have a good assistant or two.

I was expecting something much worse. Did he get a little crazy/angry? Absolutely. But, unless I missed something (which is very possible), I didn't think it was that bad. Did I miss something?

The only really bad thing was calling out his starting PG by name and saying he was awful (or something along those lines). It was tamer than a Bob Huggins press conference after most wins.

I'm thinking PETA will get on him with respect to how he trains dogs

He's been around the block and he's smart enough to know what he was doing -- which is sending a message to his team. Was it harsh? Sure. But while I didn't see the game, from the statline alone it sounds like his starting guards really did play awfully. Whether that's a smart way to motivate his kids is another question. But it sounds like he feels like he's run out of options.

The "I've been telling my wife for years that size doesn't matter" quip was funny. However, we all go off on the leader of the lollipop guild for throwing his team under the bus, and this is much worse. It is your team coach, you need to take responsibility for your inability to coach them.
Then again, he is a beaker, so what do you expect.

If he's saying things in the press conference that he hasn't already said to the kids, I have a problem with it.
But, I'm guessing that everything he said in that press conference has already been said to those kids, multiple times in fact. At some point, when something isn't working, you have to try something else.
